These are the 8 mana spirits of my favourite SNES RPG, Seiken Densetsu 3. Or Secret of Mana 2. Starting in the upper left and going round clockwise they are:
Luna, Spirit of the Moon Dryad, Spirit of Trees/Nature Shade, Spirit of Darkness Salamando, Spirit of Fire Gnome, Spirit of Earth Jinn, Spirit of Air Undine, Spirit of Water Wisp, Spirit of Light The background, which features the ancient Mana Tree that stands at the heart of the Mana Holyland, is one big experiment  Rather than first drawing line art for the tree I just threw down some color blobs and smudged them together so they'd look like a tree.Mind when full viewing (though please do ^^) that the file size is 1.2 Mbs |
